Transforming Homes in East Preston with Bespoke Extensions

At BuildView, we’re proud to showcase this extension design completed for a home in Golden Avenue in East Preston (BN16). The clients set a competitive process in place and after competing with most Worthing Architects we were delighted to have been awarded the work. The goal of this project was to create a functional yet stylish extension that enhanced the homeowner’s living space while maintaining the charm of the original property. We are also pleased to say that we sailed through the East Preston Planning hoops first time!

A Seamless Blend of Old and New

The extension was designed to blend seamlessly with the existing property, using complementary materials and finishes to ensure a cohesive look. Inside, the layout was crafted to provide a spacious, open-plan living area that flows naturally from the rest of the home. This design not only added valuable space but also made the home feel larger and brighter.

Flooding the Space with Natural Light

Natural light was a key element in this project. Large glass panels and skylights were installed to ensure that the new space is bright and airy throughout the day. This design feature enhances the aesthetics while also reducing the need for artificial lighting, making the home more energy-efficient.

Bringing the Outdoors In

To enhance the connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, we incorporated bi-fold doors that open up onto the garden. This allows the homeowner to extend their living space outdoors, perfect for family gatherings or simply enjoying the garden on a sunny day.
